Saudi Arabia has lost status in Islamic world: Iran

TEHRAN - Ali Shamkhani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, has said that Saudi Arabia has lost its status in the Islamic world by killing innocent people in Yemen.
Shamkhani made the remarks during a meeting with Syrian Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij in Tehran on Wednesday.Facing a governance crisis the Saudi kingdom has lost its status in the Islamic world by attacking its “weakest” neighbor and killing the innocent Yemeni Muslims, the security official stated.
He described Saudi Arabia’s behavior toward Yemen as “immoral” and “non-Islamic”.
The security official also praised the Syrian government and people’s resistance against the terrorist groups over the past four years.
He stated that some countries are seeking to create a secure situation for the Zionist regime by supporting terrorism.
The Iranian official went on to say that Syria has “important and effective status” in the Mideast region.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Shamkhnai said that the international community has reached to the conclusion that violence and use of instrumental use of terrorism exacerbate crisis, adding there is no other way to settle a crisis other than dialogue.

In a joint press conference with the Syrian defense minister on Wednesday, Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan said Tehran will stand against the “Zionist Takfiri movements” that have undermined the regional security.
The Takfiri and Zionist groups are the main elements behind instability in the region who are committing crimes under the watch of the international bodies, Dehqan stated.
He went on to say that Iran as an “independent” and “powerful” country is sensitive to peace and stability in the region.
Freij stated that Syria will continue fighting against the terrorists and is determined to achieve victory in this regard.
