TEHRAN – The chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said on Monday that the House of Saud is on the verge of “collapse”.
Mohammad Ali Jafari also called Saudi Arabia a “betrayer” which is following in the Zionist regime’s footsteps.
“Today, Saudi Arabia shamelessly bombards and massacres a nation (Yemen) that is attempting to reject the hegemonic system,” he added.
Iranian officials have kept silent against Saudi Arabia due to some reservations, but now that the country has launched attacks on Yemen they must put these considerations aside, the top commander noted.
On March 26, Saudi Arabia started an air campaign against Yemen.
Last week, Saudi Arabia announced an end to the airstrikes, but the country resumed attacks.
----- Jafari says U.S. has admitted Iran’s power
Jafari also said that the U.S. has admitted the “great power” of the Iranian people, the Islamic Revolution and “the Islamic Republic’s sacred system”.
“Today, our enemies have admitted the power of the Islamic Revolution.”
He went on to say that scientific progress should be “Islamic” otherwise the country’s advances would not be on the path of the Islamic Revolution.
The Islamic Revolution was and is based on religion and has been independent, he said, adding that the country should be concerned about making efforts to advance the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
Jafari also stated that providing health services and security are two essentials for any society to make progress and these two are being fulfilled in Iran.
