Ahmadinejad’s message submitted to Lebanese president

TEHRAN - The written message of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been submitted to Lebanese President Michel Suleiman.

The message was handed over to Suleiman by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Middle Eastern affairs Mohammadreza Sheibani during a meeting in Beirut on Friday.
According to IRNA, in the message Ahmadinejad has extended an invitation to the Lebanese president to pay a visit to Iran.
During the meeting, Suleiman commented on the ongoing regional developments and said, “We support reforms in the region.”
The Lebanese president also asked Sheibani to convey his warm greetings to Ahmadinejad.
In addition, Suleiman thanked the Iranian nation and government for the respect they have for the Lebanese people and expressed hope that unity and stability will improve in Lebanon.
Sheibani also held talks with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and a number of other Lebanese officials on Friday.
He is scheduled to meet with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Saturday
