Iran non-oil exports up 32%

TEHRAN – Iran exported 5.344 million tons of non-oil goods worth $2.882 billion in the first calendar month of Farvardin (ended April 20).
The amount shows 32.49 percent and 8.5 percent increase in terms of value and volume, respectively, Mehr news agency reported.The United Arab Emirates, China, Iraq, South Korea, and India were the main destinations for Iranian-made goods.
Iran also imported 2.371 million tons of goods worth 3.778 billion dollars in the mentioned period.
The amount shows 18.92 percent and 19.19 percent increase in terms of value and volume, respectively
The United Arab Emirates, China, Germany, South Korea, and Belgium were the main origins of exports to Iran.
The deputy director of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran had previously said that the country aims at $45 billion worth of non-oil exports in the current Iranian calendar year (to end March 20, 2012).
