Iran, Switzerland hold human rights dialogue

TEHRAN – Iran and Switzerland held their fifth annual meeting on human rights in Tehran on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Iranian deputy foreign minister for international affairs Mehdi Akhoundzadeh and the Swiss deputy foreign minister and a number of experts.Akhoundzadeh said observation of human rights has a long history in Iran and the country has been making great efforts to help resolve human rights issues.
Akhoundzadeh said that human rights issues should not be viewed from a political perspective, and that the root-causes of the human rights violations should be identified.
