Peace and security in Afghanistan is a priority for Tehran, Iran's special envoy at the international meeting of ""Stability in Afghanistan"" has said.

Iran is in the frontline of the fight against drug smuggling from Afghanistan, but international community is not serious in this regard, Mohammad Ali Qana' Zadeh told Italian official news agency ANSA in Rome on Tuesday.
He added that 3,700 members of Iranian border guards have been killed so far in the fight against drug smugglers.
""Meanwhile, when we demand help from international community to give our border guards night vision camera, scanner and radar to chase smugglers, they say that these items are among goods with dual use and cannot be sold to Iran,"" said the official.
Foreign Ministry director general for West Asia Affairs said Iran believes in a regional cooperation for stability in Afghanistan and all countries of international community, including the U.S., should support it.
The international meeting on Afghanistan kicked off its work in Rome, Italy, on Monday behind closed doors with participants from 46 countries, including Iran, and several international organizations.
