TEHRAN In line with the suggestion by President Seyed Mohammad Khatami, naming the year 2001 as the year of dialogue among civilizations, a festival under the same name will open in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. According to the Public Relations Department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, head of the festival in a meeting with Iranian Counsellor in Sarajevo Sheikh Bahaei said that the festival will start work in the year 2002. He added that the festival will be held under the supervision of 45 Mediterranean cities.

The week-long festival comprises different sections including theater, music, photo gallery and film. The Islamic Republic of Iran will actively participate in the festival.
