PERSIAN GULF WATERS, Iran – In the last stage of its war games the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps launched five domestically manufactured cruise missiles on Sunday which simultaneously struck a single target.

Two sea-to-sea and three coast-to-sea missiles hit a common target simultaneously during the last phase of a large-scale military maneuver in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, said Ali Fadavi, an IRGC commander.
The missiles were launched from five different locations on the sea and on the land, Fadavi added.
Sixty speedboats in form of six groups also struck a warship, IRGC Navy chief Ali Reza Tangsiri stated on Sunday.
The military maneuver, dubbed ‘Great Prophet 5’ started on Thursday.
Former top IRGC commander Hossein Alaei said that any move to increase security in the Persian Gulf would protect the interests of all regional and extra-regional countries.
Alaei said the war games were aimed at promoting defensive capabilities of Iran to protect the country against foreign threats.
He said the maneuver was not aimed at frightening the regional countries.
