SP phase 17 offshore platform jacket loaded

TEHRAN - The offshore platform jacket of the South Pars gas field’s phase 17 was successfully loaded on Monday by Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC).
IRINN quoted the manager of South Pars phases 17 & 18 development plan as saying that, “This jacket weighs some 1,960 tons and is supposed to be installed 70 meters deep into water.”“The platform jacket was completely designed and built by Iranian experts at Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC),” Mohammad-Hadi Asemi added.
South Pars field is a gas condensate field located in the Persian Gulf. It is the world’s largest gas field, shared between Iran and Qatar.
This gas field covers an area of 9700 square kilometers, of which 3700 square kilometers (South Pars) is in Iranian territorial waters and 6000 square kilometers (North Dome) is in Qatari territorial waters
