TEHRAN – A group of three Lebanese prisoners of war who were freed from Israeli jails last year met with Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili On Saturday.

The Lebanese resistance movement that shattered delusions of the grandeur of the Zionist regime has now become a model for the whole world, Jalili told Samir Al-Quntar, Abdul Karim Obeid and Mustafa Dirani Jalili in Tehran.
Jalili said victory is a result of resistance.
He called Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979 a model of “pure resistance”.
Jalili also described the resistance against the Zionist regime by Lebanese and Palestinians as an “exemplary resistance”, saying this resistance cannot be ever confronted by any military power.
Al-Quntar, for his part, said the Zionist regime was created to provide convenience and welfare for Zionists.
He said Israel is on the verge of collapse as the Zionists are facing utter defeats.
He also said that the Lebanese achieved their freedom under divine blessing of Islamic Revolution in Iran.
Samir Al-Quntar is a Lebanese Druze resistance fighter and a former member of the Palestine Liberation Front who was captured by Israeli forces in 1979 when he was just 16. He spent nearly three decades in prison before being released on July 16, 2008 as part of an Israel-Hezbollah prisoner swap
