Brazilian minister for agricultural developments has expressed his country’s enthusiasm to increase all-round agricultural trade with Iran.

In a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Brasilia, Mohsen Shaterzadeh, Reinhold Stephanes noted Iran’s “remarkable” capacity in agricultural and animal husbandry. He mentioned that Iran is the biggest producer of chemical fertilizers in the Persian Gulf region; such a supply could fully support Brazil’s growing fertilizer demand.
The Brazilian minister for agricultural developments said that Brazil is looking forward to expanding agricultural trade with Iran. Brazil has already shown her readiness to engage in Iran’s ethanol and livestock projects.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador to Brasilia said that his country saw Brazil as a major supplier of agricultural products. He called for more cooperation between the two countries. Brazil seeks to attract foreign investment for developing its economy where agriculture plays a vital role.
