Iran teenage handball team to attend World Championship

AMMAN (IRNA ) -- Iran’s National Teenage Handball Team beat Bahrain 31-25 here Monday evening in Asian Teen Age Games, making its way to World Championship of the contests as 3rd top team of the games.
According to IRNA correspondent in Amman, Iran’s team won the crucial victory at Qasr al-Riyaza (Sports Palace) Hall of Amman’s International Sports Complex after having lost playing at the games’ final due to its defeat in a game on Sunday evening against Qatar.Iran’s National Teenage Handball Team had in first round of the Asian Games beat all its contestants, including Bahrain, Japan, Saudi Arabia and the hosts, Jordan.
The finalists of the games are Qatar and Kuwait.
The Third Asian Teenage Handball Games kicked off on Friday July 11th in Jordan’s capital city, Amman among ten contestant teams, including Iran.
In the second round of the games Iran was in A Group along with Jordan, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, while the B Group teams included Qatar, South Korea, Iraq and China.
Iran’s teenaged handball players had ranked second in 1st Asian Games and first in 2nd Asian Games. -
