S. Korea to deliver 16 oil tankers to Iran

TEHRAN – South Korea is to deliver 16 oil tankers to Iran, 13 by the end of 2008 and 3 in the first four months of 2009, National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) managing director reported here on Tuesday.
South Korea has already delivered a 318,000-ton tanker to Iran, Mohammad Suri said, adding that the contract for building the 17 oil tankers valued at 2.05 billion dollars.NITC will elevate its shipment capacity to 10.85 million tons by the end of 2009, said the official.
