Rag-e Sefid, Aghajari drilling completed ahead of schedule

TEHRAN (PIN) – The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) onshore operations head said the drilling of Well No. 184 of Aghajari field and Well No. 122 of Rag-e Sefid field was carried out earlier than due time.

Mas’ud Afshar added Fat’h 68 drilling derrick started operations on Aghajari Well No. 184 in late Oct., aiming to develop oil production in the southern part of the field and to meet the need of Exploitation No. 3 Unit of the deposit.
He pointed to the unflinching efforts of the company’s experts for acceleration of drilling operations, saying the drilling of the well successfully ended 14 days earlier than the targeted time.
Afshar added the drilling operations of Rag-e Sefid Well No. 122 finished at a 2,668 meter depth two days earlier with the aim of boosting oil production in the southern area of the field and supplying Exploitation No. 1 Unit of the reserve.
According to the NIDC, drilling operations of Rag-e Sefid, Aghajari, Ahvaz, Sarakhs, and Gachsaran fields were totally carried out 33 days earlier than plan’s deadline.
