Iran's Vice President Arrives in Bogota, Colombia

TEHRAN -- The Iranian First Vice President Hassan Habibi left the Spanish city of Las Palmas for Bogota, the capital city of Colombia, on Monday. According to IRNA, Habibi who is heading a politico-economic delegation, on his way to three Latin American countries arrived in Spain last night. He is to visit Colombia, Venezuela and Cuba. Ministers of commerce Mohammad Shariatmadar and of agriculture Issa Kalantari as well as Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Morteza Sarmadi are accompanying Habibi in his one-week Latin American tour.

Expansion of bilateral cooperation as well as the latest international and regional developments will be reviewed by the Iranian delegation and officials of the three Latin American countries. Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Morteza Sarmadi said Sunday night in the Spanish island of Las Palmas that bilateral relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Colombia, Venezuela and Cuba are expanding.
