TEHRAN -- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has dispatched a new group of inspectors to Iran.

The inspectors, who arrived in Tehran on Tuesday, have already begun their inspections in the Isfahan Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) and the Natanz uranium enrichment facility.

These inspections are conducted within the framework of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the IAEA Safeguards Agreement, an informed source said on condition of anonymity.

As inspections are underway in Iran, an Iranian delegation headed by the Director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Gholam-Reza Aqazadeh is currently in Vienna to continue negotiations and clear up the remaining ambiguities about Iran’s nuclear program.

Meanwhile, IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei is expected to submit a report to the UN Security Council on April 28 about Iran’s nuclear activities and the results of inspections.

During ElBaradei’s visit to Iran on April 13, Iran and the IAEA agreed to continue with their close cooperation in order to remove all ambiguities on the nuclear issue.
