The art of mat weaving in Iran

A woman in a village in the southwestern Khuzestan province uses dried leaves of palm trees for mat weaving, which is known as Hasir Bafi in the country.

Archeologists have discovered traces of mat weavings on plaster pieces that belong to six thousand years ago.
