PARIS – Sitting volleyball player Ramezan Salehi carried Iran’s flag in the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paralympic Games Sunday night.

Salehi was part of Iran’s men’s sitting volleyball team, who won the Paralympics gold for the eighth time.

Iran finished in 14th place, winning eight gold medals, 10 silvers and seven bronzes.

The Paralympics 2024 came to a close with a glittering ceremony that took place at the Stade de France.

Rain pelted down but did not dampen the spirits as all 169 delegations paraded to the tune of French classics.
