Germany sweep Iran: 2024 VNL

TEHRAN – Germany beat Iran in straight sets (25-20, 25-23, 25-20) in the 2024 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Week 3 on Sunday.
Germany’s Moritz Karlitzek earned 21 points and Amin Esmaeilnezhad scored 19 points.
Iran started the final week in style, beating the U.S. and the Netherlands but lost to France and Germany.
Iran failed to book a ticket to the 2024 VNL Finals.
The VNL Preliminary Phase features three competition weeks per gender, with each of the 16 teams playing 12 matches.
The seven best-ranked national teams in the Preliminary Phase will join hosts Poland for the Finals, which will be held in Lodz from June 27 to 30.
