Tens of Iranian artists, galleries to attend 10th World Art Dubai in May
TEHRAN-Several Iranian artists and galleries will take part in the 10th World Art Dubai (WAD), set to be held in the UAE in May.
Young and experienced artists including Mahboubeh Hassanzadeh, Behnaz Bagheri, Sahar Asghari, Mina Taghizadeh, and Pegah Rezaeirad as well as galleries such as Homan Visual Arts Gallery and Persian Kelk will participate in the event from May 2 to 5, Iran Art website reported.
The region's largest contemporary retail art fair will host over 4,000 artwork pieces from 400 renowned galleries and solo artists, representing 60 countries.
Marking a decade of artistic excellence, WAD is poised to present its most ambitious edition at Dubai World Trade Center. This year’s WAD is expected to welcome over 15,000 art enthusiasts of all ages, fostering inspired thinking with live art performances, workshops, and talks during the four-day art fair.
The prominent art exhibition will a diverse array of artworks, from sculpture and watercolors to digital art and fashion art pieces.
More than just an art fair, WAD represents a cultural phenomenon. The fair will be set across 12 pavilions dedicated to countries and regions, including Iran, Japan, India, China, Turkey, Russia, and Saudi Arabia among others.
Over four days, visitors can engage in a variety of activities that go beyond traditional art exhibitions. WAD will feature experiential art activations, live performances, and curated art talks and workshops. These interactive elements are designed to create a holistic cultural experience, celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of the global art scene.
In 2024, WAD will also unveil an innovative addition to its repertoire: The WAD Tourism Art Tour, designed for all exhibitors. Through curated guided tours and interactive local art interactions around the emirates, WAD is poised to redefine boundaries and captivate audiences from around the world, celebrating the diversity and brilliance of artistic expression.
