Spain’s captain Sergio Ramos says they will respect Iran in group B of the 2018 World Cup.
Ramos talks to FourFourTwo Arabia about the tournament in Russia.
Asked him what’s his thoughts on Spain’s draw, in a group with Portugal, Morocco and Iran, Ramos said, “Of course we have Portugal, the European champions, and they are one of the strongest teams. But we’re taking all our opponents seriously.”
“Iran and Morocco deserve respect, they deserved their place in the tournament so we have to take them seriously, like any team in the tournament,” he added.
Spain will start the competition with a match against Portugal on June 15 and face Team Melli five days later.
Julen Lopetegui’s team will meet Morocco on June 25.
