Iran handed tough group in 2018 World Cup

Iran national football team, known as Team Melli, have been drawn in Group B of the 2018 World Cup.

Carlos Queiroz’s team will play powerhouse Spain, Portugal and Morocco in Russia.

The Group is one of the most dangerous group.

Iran will play Morocco in their opening match on June 15 at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.

Team Melli face Spain on June 20 and meet Portugal five days later.

Group A: Russia, Uruguay, Egypt, Saudi Arabia

Group B: Portugal, Spain, Iran, Morocco

Group C: France, Peru, Denmark, Australia

Group D: Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria

Group E: Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia

Group F: Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea

Group G: Belgium, England, Tunisia, Panama

Group H: Poland, Colombia, Senegal, Japan

The FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 will run from June 14 to July 15.
