TEHRAN – A member of the Expediency Council has said the council’s chairman will be selected after new members are appointed in the body.

Speaking to Tasnim on Thursday, Ayatollah Ebrahim Amini said after the new appointments, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will name the chairman.

He further stressed that the council’s members thoroughly follow the Leader’s guidelines.

Whoever the Supreme Leader chooses, he will be respected and followed by the members of the council, Amini stressed.
