Tehran sees the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement with Lukoil, according to Iranian Communications and Information Technology Minister Mahmoud Vaezi.
"Oil and gas cooperation with various companies is progressing. After the lifting of sanctions [against Iran], there are good possibilities for Lukoil and Iranian companies to sign a cooperation agreement," Vaezi, who also co-chairs the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission, told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that almost all Russian oil and gas companies are interested in exploration and production projects in Iran, as well as in projects in the field of refining.
