TEHRAN -- Jafar Tofiqi says Science Minister Mohammad Farhadi is of the same metal as the Rouhani administration.

Tofiqi, who himself served as science minister from 2003 to 2005, said that the declining sensitivity of the Majlis toward the ministry does not indicate that Farhadi has abandoned the policies of the Rouhani administration.

Some of the MPs are busy with affairs they have toward the end of their term and some others are occupied with the nuclear issue, he said, the Iran newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Tofiqi went on to say that another group of the MPs who used to be very sensitive about who would become science minister, already got what they wanted by dismissing Farhadi’s forerunning candidates for the position of minister.
