7th Bazi-Bazaar to present newly-designed Iranian board games

TEHRAN- The 7th edition of Bazi Bazaar (Games Market), which is a specialized event to present Iranian board games, will be held at Mina Dome Planetarium in Tehran on Friday, August 9.

Titled “Game Ship: On the Orbit of Design,” the upcoming edition of the event will present some of the best-designed games created by young Iranian designers over the past year, which have undergone testing and evaluation in the play-test sessions held by the Iranian Game and Toy Designers Hub (IGTD Hub), will be publicly tested for the first time. The games that receive the most positive feedback will be presented to reputable game publishers, Borna news agency reported.

Aiming at promoting the culture of group and family board games and supporting local game designers and publishers, Bazi-Bazaar has been held once a month since last fall in collaboration with the IGTD Hub, Iran Toy Manufacturers Association, Danadel Recreation Complex, Pouya Mehr Company, and Tasino Intellectual Games Club

Over the past year, the event has attracted approximately 18,000 public visitors. Moreover, about 1,900 participants have taken part in various competitions held within the framework of Bazi-Bazaar.

The event has so far featured numerous effective programs related to board games, including the unveiling of the “Mushtatil” party game by Dice Cream Group, “Last Spring” designed by Ali Edriszadeh and published by 24 and Jiro Games, the new version of “Diwan” by Bahamzi, and “Siavas’s Life” by Vir Games.

The event has also included various workshops and specialized sessions on game design, as well as competitions for “Yatuk” designed by Armin Masroor and Navid Atapur and published by Baborka, and “Garden Pal” designed by Mohammad Mehrali from Baranegar as well as special family leagues and card game leagues for the Norouz holidays.

The upcoming edition will also feature the unveiling of the card game “Balooni” by Fandoghi Group and a lifestyle game design workshop.

The event is open to the public and can be visited from 4 p.m. Mina Dome Planetarium is located in Water and Fire Park, Haqani Expressway, after Jahan Koudak Crossroad.
