Iranian dubber Mahin Kasmai dies at 78

TEHRAN – Iranian dubber Mahin Kasmai, who lent her voice to many characters played by Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, died in the United States on Thursday. She was 78.

Kasmai, who was in the U.S. over the past few years, was suffering from cancer, the Iran Dubbing Association announced on Friday.

Mahin was a niece of Ali Kasmaii, who was considered the father of voice acting in Iran.

Mahin also lent her voice to many leading characters acted by Diane Keaton, Maria Schell, Suzanne Pleshette, Jennifer Jones, Jean Seberg and Shirley MacLaine.
