TEHRAN – A collection of rare Islamic manuscript books were put on display at an exhibition, which opened at the Iran National Library and Archives (INLA) on Sunday.
The collection is composed of copies of the Holy Quran, the Nahj-ul-Balagha of Imam Ali (AS) and Sahifeh Sajjadieh -- a collection of supplications attributed to Imam Sajjad (AS), Persian news agencies reported on Sunday.
The INLA previously called on several Islamic countries and Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states to make a contribution to this event by sending their collections.
However, only Tunisia submitted several manuscripts of Holy Quran to the exhibit.
In addition, digital copies of the collection are due to be showcased at the pavilion of INLA at the 20th International Holy Quran Exhibition, which is currently underway at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla.
The exhibition of the Islamic manuscripts runs until August 18 at the library located on Haqqani Highway.
