 Antonio Jose Conceicao Oliveira, known as Toni, has reached an agreement with Traktorsazi to coach the Tabriz-based team.
In 2007, he was named as the UAE’s Al-Ittifaq coach but was sacked after the team produced poor results under his coaching. Tone became analyzer of Ivory Coast during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Then, he joined Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia as coach and quit the team in June 2012.
The Portuguese is reportedly close friend of Iran coach Carlos Queiroz.
The 67-year-old year will replace Amir Ghalenoei in Traktorsazi.
Traktorsazi will participate in AFC Champions League next season after they finished second in Iran Professional League.
