| Farhad Majidi invited to play for Iran |

 TEHRAN - Carlos Queiroz called up Farhad Majidi to Iran football team for match against Indonesia in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers. Majidi, who has played 43 times for Iran football team and scored 10 goals, has not been invited to the team since last year. Osasuna midfielder Javad Nekounam, who stayed out from the national team in matches against the Maldives, has been recalled to the Iran football team. Nekounam’s teammate Masoud Shojaei was forced to stay out from the team since he is recovering from a foot injury. Iran will play Indonesia in Group E of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on September 2 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
