Chamangoli replaced Rasool Jazini, who stepped down last week.

Jazini was appointed as coach of the team in January after Mohammad Bana resigned from his post because of the federation’s serious financial problems.

“Iran’s Greco-Roman wrestling team made history in the 2012 Olympic Games by winning the championship. I ought to respect Mr. Bana and the door is open for him,” Chamangoli said.
