.jpg) TEHRAN – Persepolis football team beat Rah Ahan thanks to two early goals from Hadi Norouzi and Jalal Hossein.
Persepolis defeated Rah Ahan 2-0 in Iran Professional League (IPL) in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Sunday.
Norouzi put the ball in the back of the net with a header just one minute into the match.
Persepolis defender Jalal Hosseini extended the lead when he headed home from a captain Mehdi Mahdavikia cross in the 16th minute.
Persepolis was the better team in the second half and the team’s midfielders created chances but the strikers didn’t take advantage of them.
Persepolis moved up to 11th in the table with this home victory.
Sepahan sits top of the table with 21 points and one game in hand.
