“I’ve already said if I can beat my own record I will qualify for the final round. Unfortunately, I didn’t get lucky enough to earn medal in the final round,” Ahmadi said.

“Many in Iran were saying the women have no chance to be successful in shooting and I am so glad since I proved myself in the event and I deserved to win a medal,” she added.

China's Yi Siling claimed the gold medal with 502.9 points at The Royal Artillery Barracks, followed by Poland’s Sylwia Bogacka with 502.2 and Yu Dan from China with                   501.5.
