 TEHRAN – In a statement released on Sunday the public relations department of the Expediency Council rejected claims that EC Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani is engaged in electoral affairs.The statement called such claims defamatory which are intended to divert public opinion from the main issues and problems gripping the country and taking advantage of the country’s current political situation.
