Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting with a number of Basiji volunteer forces and family members of armed forces, which was held in Tehran on Wednesday on the occasion of National Armed Forces Day.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran, inspired by the logic of Islam, is against and condemns any form of bombing and killing of innocent people, whether it be in Boston of the United States or in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq or Syria.”
The Supreme Leader also said that the Western civilization is on the verge of collapse due to the illogical policies of the hegemonistic countries.
“Today, the Western civilization is on the verge of collapse due to contradictory, illogical, and tyrannical (policies) and a disregard for moral principles,” the Leader stated.
He also criticized the United States for supporting terrorists in Iraq and Syria and for remaining silent about the killing of innocent people in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader praised armed forces for making sacrifices to defend the country and said that Iranian armed forces’ advances in defense and electronic industries were remarkable.
