TEHRAN - The Cuban deputy foreign minister, Marcelino Medina, has said that Havana welcomes further cooperation with Tehran in diplomatic, economic, and cultural areas.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji in the Cuban capital, during his periodic visits to the region, the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency reported on Tuesday.
Medina noted that Cuba strongly supports Iran’s right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
