| More research should be done on the concept of freedom: Leader |

.jpg) TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has advised Iranian scholars to carry out more research on the concept of freedom.
The Leader made the remarks during the fourth forum on strategic thought, which was held in Tehran late on Tuesday.
About 150 Iranian scholars attended the forum, which was held on the theme of freedom.
In his address to the gathering, Ayatollah Khamenei commented on the theme of the forum and said that it refers to individual and social freedom.
The Leader stated that there are many Islamic reference books about the issue of freedom, adding, “Despite the fact that these references exist, there are many vacuums in regard to the concept of freedom,” which should be filled through reflection.
“The realization of this goal requires serious efforts and mastery of Islamic references and Western references,” he noted.
Prior to the Leader’s speech, 10 scholars delivered speeches in which they expressed their views about freedom, and 17 scholars commented on their ideas.
