|Iran to attend Helsinki conference on nuclear-weapons-free zone in Mideast||
TEHRAN – Iran will participate in an international conference on the establishment of a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons and all other weapons of mass destruction, which is scheduled to be held in Helsinki, Finland, in December.
The announcement was made by the Iranian ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, during an interview with the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency published on Wednesday.
Soltanieh said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran, with the objective of making the world free of nuclear weapons, has had and will have an active presence in the international arena.”
