According to Limarenko, they have been implementing some new technical processes, and it has become clear that to perform the work well, they need some more time. Therefore signing of the acceptance act has been put off till March 2013.
Limarenko also noted that after the nuclear power plant in Bushehr is accepted by the Iranian side, at least 300 Russian personnel will stay in Iran to help maintain the plant.
Construction of the Bushehr plant began in 1975 by several German companies. Four years later, the work stopped after the United States imposed an embargo on hi-tech supplies to Iran.
In 1995, the work was resumed after Iran signed a corresponding agreement with Russia, according to which the plant was originally scheduled for completion in 1999. In 2011, Iran started using 500MW of nuclear-generated electricity, half the nominal capacity of the Bushehr power plant.
