.jpg) TEHRAN – Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has said that the decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize to the European Union was ridiculous and politically motivated.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the Nobel Peace Prize Friday to the European Union for peaceful reconciliation after World War II.
Jazayeri said the decision proves the fact that the EU’s measures are in line with the policies of the hegemonic system, the Persian Service of IRNA reported on Sunday.
Commenting on the poor living conditions of the European people, Jazayeri said the terrible economic conditions of people in some EU countries, including Britain, have led to massive protests and street riots.
He added the British government is pleased with economic problems in Iran while Britons are grappling with an economic crisis.
