The Social Security Organization is a social and non-governmental organization, Rahimi said, adding that he does not think that the court’s decision can be upheld.
The court revoked Mortazavi’s appointment on Monday after investigating the complaints lodged by a number of MPs in the previous parliament who hold him partly responsible for the Kahrizak incident, in which three inmates died.
MP Ahmad Tavakkoli said on Wednesday that if Mortazavi is not removed from his post, Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare Minister Abdolreza Sheikholeslami will be subject to a process that will lead to his dismissal.
