TEHRAN – Brigadier General Ramazan Sharif, the spokesman for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), announced on Sunday that a “harsh revenge” awaits those behind the Friday night terrorist attack in the border western province of Kurdistan in which 11 IRGC forces were martyred.

“We warn foreign intelligence agencies that a harsh revenge for the recent incident is on the agenda,” he said, warning the enemies’ spy agencies against further supporting terrorist groups in the region, Fars reported.

He added that the enemies’ efforts to infiltrate Iran and create instability in border provinces have all failed due to the vigilance shown by the armed forces.
