TEHRAN – Over 11 million domestic holidaymakers visited Iran’s northern Mazandaran province, from March 18 to 30.

The figure shows around 15 percent year-on-year increase, IRNA quoted Mehran Hassani, a provincial tourism official, as saying on Friday.

Neighboring the Caspian Sea, Mazandaran is home to over 70 eco-lodges and some 3000 villages.
