TEHRAN – Deputy Chief the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Qadir Nezami met with Afghan Deputy Defense Minister Tamim Assi in Tehran on Wednesday, Mehr reported.

Heading a high-ranking military delegation, Assi arrived in Tehran at the invitation General Nezami to discuss bilateral issues and military cooperation.

Assi is also scheduled to hold meetings with Iran’s Defense Minister Amir Hatami, Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and other top Iranian officials and military commanders.

During his, the Afghan official is also slated to pay a visit to an exhibition showcasing Iran’s military achievements.
