“Lunch Time” wins award at Jozi festival

TEHRAN – Iranian director Alireza Qasemi’s “Lunch Time” won the Best International Student Film Award at the 6th Jozi Film Festival (JFF), which was held in Johannesburg, South Africa from September 21 to 24.

The film tells the story of a 16-year-old girl who deals with the harsh bureaucracy to fulfill her responsibility of having to identify the body of her mother.

“Tchindas” by Marc Serena from Spain received the best documentary award while “Voiceless” by David Uloth from Canada won the best short film award at the festival.
