Car output in Iran up 35.9%

TEHRAN- Iranian car makers manufactured 820,463 vehicles since the beginning of current Iranian calendar year by the end of the eighth calendar month of Aban (March 20-November 20), showing 35.9 percent rise compared to the same period of time in the preceding year, Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday.
Iran is scheduled to manufacture 1.35 million cars by the end of the current calendar year, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Mohsen Salehinia announced in early April.
As Salehinia underlined, the government seeks to improve the quality as well as the quantity of the domestically produced cars on the way to boost their exports.
