TEHRAN – 240 super tankers from different countries have loaded oil products at Iran’s Kharg Island (in the Persian Gulf), since the country’s nuclear deal with the world’s major powers, IRNA quoted head of Ports and Maritime Department of Iranian southwestern province of Boushehr as saying on Sunday.

According to Mohammad-Mehdi Benchari, during the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20- July 21, 2016) some 35.838 million tons of goods have been loaded and unloaded at Kharg Island which shows a 60 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
“Kharg Island is one of the most important islands of Iran so that most of the country’s crude is loaded from this strategic region,” he added.
