TEHRAN -- Iranian actress-cum-director Niki Karimi is on the jury of the 35th Istanbul Film Festival, which is currently underway in the Turkish city.

“Wednesday, May 9” by Vahid Jalilvand from Iran is competing in the festival, which will run until April 17, the organizers announced.

Over 187 feature films and 10 short and 24 experimental films from over 200 directors are scheduled to be screened at the festival.

Iranian Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi was on the jury of the festival in 2014.
