TEHRAN -- Two Iranian films are on screen at the Ladakh International Film Festival in India.
The festival is screening feature films “The Killer” by Reza Karimi and “Here without Me” by Bahram Tavakkoli.
“The Killer” is about a young forensic psychiatrist who visits an old friend whose fiancée Roya has been accused of murder.
Although he learns about Roya’s psychological disorders, the more he finds out, the more he insists on her innocence.
“Here without Me” is a striking family drama based on Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie”. The film is set in the confines of a troubled household in modern Tehran.
The festival opened on June 15 and ends today.
