|Iranian illustrator wins award at Sharjah exhibit||
TEHRAN – Iranian illustrator Alireza Golduzian won Third Award at the Sharjah Children’s Books Illustrators Exhibition is being held from April 23 to May 2.
The exhibition will award the top 3 artworks from the exhibited works valuable prizes; first winner will receive (USD 8000), second winner (USD 6000) and third winner (USD 4000).
The Iranian children’s Shabaviz Publication was the guest of honor of the festival at the opening ceremony.
Illustrators of 28 children’s books from Iran are participating at the event. Bahar Akhavan, Neda Azimi, Elham Kazemi, Masumeh Sohbati and Negin Ehtesabian are among the participants.
The exhibition is part of the 4th Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) which takes place from April 23 to May 2 at Sharjah Expo Centre. More than 200 Arab and foreign publishing houses are taking part in the event with over 20,000 printed, audio-visual and electronic titles.
The festival aims to become the premier reading festival for children in the region that draws huge attendance and trade participation, by creating an experience that is involving, entertaining and educational, and most importantly makes reading fun.
The award ceremony will be held on May 3 in Sharjah.
